Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player claimed his initial title for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has had a challenging year, winning just one match at the big events and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with former coach his previous coach.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought three-set victory over opponent Moutet.
It is his maiden championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt since that period of 2023.
The win also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one different competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a title is particularly special," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive play style and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had led some to doubt if his capacity to play at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play positively, backed up by an enhanced service.
Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, securing 4 of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players swapped break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden tour title, gained dominance to force a decider.
The opponent defended 4 initial break points in a close final set before the Russian broke to 15 to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the title with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to control a shot after a lengthy match.
